This session will present highlights from the Annual Report 2023 on how digitalization is changing FDI flows and investment climates in OIC countries. It will feature examples of successful digital investment initiatives by OIC IPAs, showing how technology increases efficiency and competitiveness. The session will address the ways in which investment promotion agencies (IPAs) are aligning with international standards, responding to the evolving requirements of investors, and navigating both challenges and opportunities associated with employing digital tools for investment targeting, stakeholder engagement, aftercare, and regulatory compliance. 

Through these exchanges, participants will gain enhanced awareness of the strategic importance of digitalization in attracting and facilitating investment across OIC countries. The session is expected to help identify priority actions for IPAs to accelerate their own digital transformation and to improve the quality of investor services. The event also seeks to strengthen partnerships and cooperation frameworks among IPAs, the IsDB, WAIPA and other development partners, laying the groundwork for sustained digital capacity building and long-term collaboration.
